Story Related to God Saligram is ,One day when God vishnu was given Curse by women name Brinda who was wife of Devil Jalandhar to be Stone(Salagrama sila) ,Tree(Peepal tree) ,Grass (Kush) and Plant (Tulsi ).
From that Day god vishnu appeared as Shaligram in Kaligandaki river ,which is biggest and powerful hindu holy river,shrine and pilgrimage of world.The Damodar Kunda,Muktinath also lies in Kaligandaki river. Even Bath in Damodar kunda,Muktinath,Kaligandaki river washes all Sin,mistake done in whole life and past life. It is stated that those who drink even bath of shaligram bath Jal Attains Moksha/Mukti(Salvation) which is also known as Free from trouble,Material world and Pilgrimage of god.
God vishnu is also known as Preserver of whole universe.
